Why Us?

The Telepier™ foundation system was designed by professional engineers to safely anchor and support pre-manufactured housing. The system was created with the idea of making a safer, faster, and easier foundation while at the same time fully conforming, even exceeding, the requirements for pre-manufactured housing foundations.

Have you ever wondered what really happens to a manufactured home in a tornado? Usually, one of two situations occurs: the house rolls off of its foundation or it loses its supporting structure leaving the heavy steel chassis beams to fly in any direction. The Telepier™ system is designed to prevent such an occurence. The chassis of the house is rigidly anchored to the system which itself is anchored to the ground. The system is also designed to allow for the maximum safe interaction between the soil, the permanent elements of the foundation, and the structural components of the manufactured home.

Another advantage of the Telepier™ system is that it meets FHA requirements for pre-manufactured housing foundations. The FHA, under the Federal Housing and Urban Development Agency, is responsible for insuring mortgages on many manufactured homes. In order to apply for the mortgage insurance the home must meet several requirements, with one of the most important being that the house is attached to a permanent foundation. The Telepier™ foundation system meets and exceeds this requirement. You can read more about the FHA's requirements at Manufactured Homes: Eligibility and General Requirements - Title II.

According to a 1999 HUD report only 17.2% of manufactured homes are placed on permanent foundations
Non-permanent foundations provide very little resistance to loads caused by high wind or seismic events
Cost is the primary reason most manufactured homes are not set on permanent foundations
Resale and remarketing are hindered because most homes are not financed by real lenders but by high-cost finance companies that affect the securitization in the secondary markets because the loans are uninsurable
Telepier™ Foundations provides superior permanent foundation as well as Federal, State, and Local compliance thus allowing for securitization and mortgage insurability
A Telepier™ foundation system provides greater marketability due to the ease of qualifying buyers previously left out of the government finance arena
Substantial savings coupled with additional strength and all levels of government compliance
